Evans Avenue Plaza

About

Evans Plaza, located in Fort Worth’s historic Terrell Heights neighborhood, is a vibrant public space dedicated to preserving and celebrating Black history in Fort Worth. The plaza features a compelling historical timeline that highlights the stories and contributions of influential Black Fort Worthians, including Roberta C. Dickerson, Dr. Vada P. Felder, Manet Harrison Fowler, Lillian B. Horace, and Dr. Aurelia.

The City of Fort Worth has invested over $30 million into the area's infrastructure, redevelopment, and planning efforts since the late 1990s. Now after much anticipation the Evans & Rosedale Redevelopment Project of $63 million is set to break ground in 2026.
